Carleen Tea Treat 2026

For the fifth year in a row, the Carleen Village Hall Committee and the GWVCEG bring you the Carleen Tea Treat. This year, there is an optional ‘goat’ theme for those making flags or dressing up. This is to celebrate what the area used to be known as – Nanny Goat Country
Saturday 8th August 2026 – Starts 2pm at Carleen Village Hall
Taking inspiration from the traditions of the past, the day involves a procession with homemade flags, a merry band of folk musicians and our very own dance tunes, written by Pip Wright, a local musician.
The procession culminates on Trew Green for a serpent dance and then back to the Hall for a Tea Treat with traditional buns and homemade cakes and tea and time to catch up with friends and neighbours and country fair games in the field. Breage Silver Band will be playing for us.
Unforunately the evening Ceilidh will not be going ahead this year – We look forward to bringing it back next year!
